Q1. How may I be involved and/or volunteer for Houston Splash 2010? A1. Volunteer opportunities do exist within the Houston Splash organization, ranging from Promotions, Hospitality, and Event Preparation.  We welcome any and all local organizations / individuals who would like to participate.  Please don’t hesitate to contact our office at 832.443.1016.                 Q2. How old do you have to be in order to participate in the various Houston Splash 2010 events? A2. Houston Splash attendees need to be at least 18 years old in order to attend all Houston Splash events. All attendees are required to have a state issued identification card and /or state issued drivers license. Please remember No ID / No ENTRY / NO EXCEPTIONS!!                 Q3. What is the admission price for most of the Houston Splash events? A3. Admission prices for Houston Splash events will cost anywhere from $20 - $35 per person per event. As an added incentive we have a Houston Splash Pride Pass, which will save you considerably on the admission prices. Vip Pass information may be found on this site under the VIP Section.                 Q4.  How much does it cost to park at the Host Hotel? A4. Houston Splash attendees staying at our Host Hotel “Hilton Americas - Houston Downtown” can expect a Hotel Parking fee of $10 per night.                 Q5. How far is the Galveston Beach from the Host Hotel? A5. Galveston – East Beach is 45-minute drive from Houston depending on your traveling speed limit. Most attendees arrive at the beach around 3:00pm on Sunday, May 10, 2009.                 Q6. How far is the Host Hotel from both airports Bush Intercontinental Airport and Houston Hobby Airport? A6. If you are arriving at the Houston Hobby airport the Host Hotel is a 20 minute drive give or take depending on Galleria Traffic and Construction. If you are arriving at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport the travel time is around 30 minutes to the Host Hotel. Regularly scheduled bus and shuttle service is provided from both airports to the Host Hotel through Express Shuttle at (713) 523 – 8888. This shuttle is by far cheaper than using a yellow cab and you can purchase a round trip ticket to pick you up from the hotel upon your departure.                 Q7. What is the average age for the attendees at Houston Splash? A7. I would say 25 years is the median age for most Houston Splash attendees. This is in part due to a large number of surrounding Black Colleges and Universities.
